Description StorageWorks RAID Array 7000 (RA7000) is an integrated UltraSCSI RAID storage subsystem designed to support the most popular multi-vendor computing environments. RA7000 uses the HSZ70 storage controller to provide 40MB/sec UltraSCSI host connection and six 40 MB/sec UltraSCSI disk channels. It implements RAID storage technology for data availability including features such as mirrored write back cache for optimal performance. The packaging incorporates component redundancy to support high system availability. RA7000 ensures continuous access to critical applications and data through controller failover, hot swappable components including disks, power supplies, and cooling fans, automatic failover to spare disks, automatic array monitoring, and event notification.
