Description Matrox's popular professional graphics card, the Millennium G200, is now available in a PCI card form. The Millennium G200 SD uses 8MB SDRAM and the new MGA-G200 128-bit DualBus graphics chip to provide advanced 2D, 3D and video acceleration. It can be upgraded to 16MB SDRAM. The Millennium G200's hardware-accelerated 24-bit color produces photo-realistic images to view or edit graphics, documents, Web pages and designs at ultra-high resolutions without PC-slowdown. Its 250MHz RAMDAC delivers rapid refresh for flicker-free viewing, with maximum 2D resolution of 1920x1200 in 24-bit color and maximum 3D resolutions of 1920x1080 in 16-bit color, 1152x864 in 32-bit color. The Millennium G200 brings entry-level workstation performance to the PC with its high-level, high-speed performance. It uses 32-bit vibrant color quality rendering architecture and an advanced setup engine to support all 3D special effects. It accelerates Direct3D and OpenGL applications with advanced alpha-blending, bi-linear filtering, tri-linear mipmapping, fogging, anti-aliasing and specular highlights. Its advanced setup engine processes over 1.5 million triangles per second and can process full-featured Direct3D and OpenGL polygons with high frame rates. The Millennium G200 provides software MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video acceleration to playback multimedia CD-ROM and DVD titles at full-screen, full-motion. It is fitted with both a front and back-end scaler for high image quality. It also will accept the upcoming Matrox G-series hardware DVD accelerator for the highest quality DVD playback.
