Description The DACPJM achieves its outstanding performance by combining an onboard Intel 960 RISC processor with Mylex's own high-performance firmware. The dedicated RISC processor offloads RAID management functions from the host CPU, resulting in higher RAID and server performance. DACPJM offers multiple fault detection and fault tolerance features. These features include ECC memory; automatic detection of failed drives; automatic and transparent rebuild of failed drives; on-line RAID capacity expansion; hot spare drive support; hot swap drive support; RAID configuration stored on both disk and in non-volatile RAM; SMART capable drive support and SAF-TE enclosure management.
