This monochrome laser system is suitable for general business use where color is not a necessity. Print sharp black and white documents at up to 2 ppm with a 200 x 400 dpi resolution, with storage of up to 200 sheets of paper. Make up to 99 copies at a time with the copier function. It features four reduction and three enlargement settings for a variety of copying options from 50% to 150%. Scan text, images and line art into a PC at 400 x 400 dpi interpolated. The TWAIN-compliant scanner uses Visioneer PaperPort for Brother and Xerox TextBridge OCR software to capture and convert documents with a drag and drop filing interface. A 14.4Kbps fax modem provides fast fax transmission at about three seconds per page. A 512KB memory stores up to 25 pages if you run out of paper while receiving a fax. A telephone index is available to search One-Touch Dial and Speed Dial memory and then automatically dial. The PC fax lets you send and receive faxes via your PC using Smith Micro PC Fax software.
