The Cisco 12000 series is Cisco`s premier routing product family designed and developed for the core of service provider and enterprise IP backbones. The Cisco 12000 series includes three 2.5G/slot models and two 10G/slot models. The 2.5G/slot models consist of the Cisco 12008, 12012 and the 12016 (supports line cards with various speeds up to OC-48c/STM-16c). The 10G/slot models consist of the Cisco 12410 and the 12416 (supports line cards with various speeds up to OC-192c/STM-64c).
