Netgear BayStack 650 Wireless Access Point Bridges & Routers Review

Netgear BayStack 650 Wireless Access Point

Description
The BayStack 650 Wireless Access Point is a wireless-to-wired bridge that attaches to the LAN backbone. It enables portable computers equipped with the BayStack 650 Wireless PC Cards to access the network wirelessly. The BayStack 650 Wireless LAN Products use a 2.4 GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) radio type for network transmission. Each BayStack 650 Wireless Access Point supports 10 to 15 typical mobile users. Each BayStack 650 provides a wireless coverage range of up to 225 feet in standard office environments and up to 1, 000 feet in an open environment. The BayStack 650 products support high user density by allowing 10 or more overlapped Access Point cells. This scalability allows for a large amount of users in a relatively small area.
