Description Nortel Network offers FRE 060 Intelligent Link Interfaces (ILI) modules for their Backbone Link Node (BLN) and Backbone Concentrator Node (BCN) devices. Based on a 60-MHz Motorola MC68060 processor, the FRE 060 is available with 16 MB, 32 MB, or 64 MB of configurable local and global memory (DRAM) for program, data, and packet buffer storage. The BLN and BCN support a full line of FRE link modules, providing connectivity for 100BASE-T, Ethernet, Token Ring, FDDI, MCT1/E1, and serial interfaces. Compatibility of FRE link modules across Bay Networks router products, including the FN, LN, and CN, ensures maximum flexibility and makes sparing efficient and cost-effective. FRE link modules are easy to install and configure.
