Description When switches are used to connect each of the 3600 Series hubs, a segmented backplane chassis is usually required. A segmented backplane isolates each hub from the other units in the chassis, unless the connected to a segment switch or other external devices, such as a router. A segmented backplane only requires a single master management hub as the management bus is connected to all hubs in any configuration.
