Description The D-Link DES-3224 is a high performance 24-port 10/100 ethernet/Fast Ethernet NWay autosensing Switch with SNMP/RMON management. It is designed to eliminate unnecessary traffic, and relieve congestion on critical network paths. The DES-3224 is targeted at workgroup, departmental or backbone computing environments at medium to large businesses. Each port can connect Fast Ethernet or Ethernet segments into any available port. NWay auto-negotiation automatically identifies and determines the correct transmission speed and duplex mode of the attached device on each port. The DES-3224 delivers high-speed 100Mb Fast Ethernet switching performance with a Filtering / Forwarding rate of 100% the line speed per port. With a 8 MB packet buffer, the DES-3224 provides dynamic buffer allocation that employs network-load balancing for faster data handling. It uses fast store and forward architecture to ensure low latency and high data integrity.
