The module's 2,200,000 pps forwarding capacity ensures maximum performance levels even as the switch scales to support increasing numbers of users and high-speed uplinks. And, thanks to its four Gigabit Ethernet uplink slots which can be populated with a variety of physical media interface options including switched Gigabit 1000Base SX/LX, the module offers the flexibility of high-speed multiple connections to end users or servers with fully integrated connectivity to the campus backbone. The advanced design of this module provides many standard features that are typically available for an additional cost. These include RMON, SmartTrunk, SmartMirror, 802.1p class of service standards, 802.1Q VLAN, Layer 3 and Layer 4 advanced services, and full duplex capabilities on all interfaces, as well as Cabletron's Smart Network services.
