Description The 9T125-24 Token Ring MicroLAN Switch Module is ideal for creating fully managed user rings in the wiring closet. The 9T125-24 Token Ring MicroLAN Switch Module provides desktop connectivity for two Token Ring segments switched to the FNB backplane of the SmartSwitch 9000. The switch module is IEEE 802.5 Token Ring and 802.1d Spanning Tree compliant and features two integrated 12-port active Token Ring concentrators equipped with industry-standard RJ45 connectors supporting both UTP and STP lobe wiring. The 9T125-24 actively participates in each Token Ring segment to provide full statistical SNMP based management. Active ports improve network reliability by extending lobe cable distance, reducing jitter buildup and provide protection against beaconing due to devices attaching at the wrong ring speed.
