The Radeon X1650 Pro 512 MB AGP Display Card from ATI delivers powerful 3D graphics to your desktop computer. The card installs in an available AGP 8x slot and features a dual-link DVI-I and a single-link DVI-I output, allowing the card to drive a dual monitor configuration. You'll also be able to connect the card for TV output via component, composite or S-video. The card is fully compatible with such standards as DirectX 9.0 and OpenGL 2.0, making it an excellent choice for your computer.



Very good upgrade if you still only have AGP

Summary

I never gamed much, but recently I started playing Final Fantasy XI. (yeah I know, it's an old game!) My nVidia FX5200 couldn't handle FFXI in hi-res very well, and I desperately wanted to play it in hi-res because it looks so much better than...

Strength

Great performance on older games, (probably) decent performance on newer games

Weakness

Stock fan is loud and doesn't cool the GPU very well, kind of pricey

Bottom Line

If you have an AGP motherboard and need a decent mid-range video card to tie you over, this is a good choice, but only if you find a good deal!
