Ironically, the pioneer in personal data assistants has pretty much focused its company's energies on a market it actually helped create: the smartphone. Their industry hit, the Treo, paved the way... Strength Beautiful 480x320 display, very good battery life, built-in WiFi and web browser. Weakness Slight occasional lag when entering text, no built-in camera or voice recorder, non-standard HotSync connector. Bottom Line Only those that love high-end technology should consider the T|X for its hefty price tag, but its WiFi, long battery life and beautiful display make it worthwhile. Is the palm still relevant ?

I liked the T5 but it did have its problems especially with hot sync with its cable. The... Strength Built in WIFI, small thin design, screen very readable and good color. Weakness That #*&%%! connector. (see above) Bottom Line A good unit that is somewhat dated but still has some life! It's not perfect, but it is the best palm I've owned.

I've owned a Palm Pilot, Palm III, Sony Clie TJ27, Zire 31,Zire 72s, and The Palm T/X. Hands down the T/X is the best offering from Palm to date, but it's not without flaws... Strength Last of the 1yr warranty palms. Wifi, Bluetooth Weakness No Camera? 802.11b where's the G wifi? expensive, awful sync cable,no Mass storage device support Bottom Line If you want a PDA that offers Wifi, bluetooth and Infrared, this is for you. If you need a camera bundled, keep looking! Solid buy IF you buy extended warranty. Awesome

In fact, I am so in love with this gadget that I need to defend it from some... Strength Quite fast, versatile, not too expensive ($268 in Buy and Amazon) Weakness Battery not user replaceable, sometimes unstable (reboot) Bottom Line I haven't used any other PDA/handheld, so I can't compare. But can say that the Palm TX has exceeded all my expectations. Not Palm's best.

A long time Palm user, I replaced a lost T3 with the TX about a year ago. I was disappointed then and find the model increasingly buggy and frustrating. While stylus... Strength WiFi. Better battery. Better visibility. Blue Tooth. Weakness Sluggish. Mad Digitizer. Sync problems. Poor service. Insufficient Internet support. No 64 bit drivers. Bottom Line Palm doesn't care if it works or not. Too many problems for the price. Check out Sony Cleo or other PDA instead. You don't have to be a professional to have a PDA

Strength Easy to use, many features, Wi-Fi Weakness expensive, slow Wi-Fi Bottom Line T/X is good for the professional/student but a little much for the non-professional/student if it's just used for contacts and scheduling.
