The SPP-100 can be used in any laptop or notebook computer with a Type II PCMCIA drive or in a desktop computer equipped with a compatible PCMCIA drive. The SPP-100 fully supports the IEEE 1284 standard for high speed EPP (Enhanced Parallel Port) communication. As well as EPP mode, the SPP-100 can also function in standard unidirectional parallel port mode, and in bidirectional parallel port mode. The built-in parallel port on many portable computers cannot function in EPP mode, and the SPP-100 is an ideal choice in these situations when a high-speed parallel interface is required. All necessary software is included to install and configure the SPP-100 for use with DOS, OS/2, Windows 95/98 and Windows 2000.
