The RocketRAID 1640 is a four-channel RAID 5 host adapter, which provides multi level RAID support, including RAID 5, 0, 1, 1/0, JBOD, as well as powerful software management functions. The RocketRAID 1640 Serial ATA RAID host adapter increases disk performance to 1.5Gb/s, and supports most of todays popular OSs such as Windows 9x/ME/NT4.0/2,K Windows XP, Red Hat, SuSE, Turbo, Caldera Linux and FreeBSD. As a high-performance, affordable RAID solution, the RocketRAID 1640 is well suited for nearly any corporate, industrial, or home environment application. The RocketRAID 1640 Serial ATA RAID host adapter is ideal for small LAN servers, critical business data storage, PC gaming, and high-end personal storage needs. The RocketRAID 1640 is not only able to connect with Serial ATA hard disks, but also can be utilized with standard IDE hard disk drives (when used in combination with the RocketHead100 converter).
