Summary

This is a 'no-frills' review for a 'no'frills' keyboard. It's made by Microsoft, it's bent, it only comes in white and it's got no unnecessary buttons for stupid shortcuts like "shopping" and "My Favourite Empty Folder(TM)" Esse

Strength

Here's what I like about it: It's relatively inexpensive. It takes up much less desk space than some of these massive multimedia keyboards. It is USB or PS/2 whichever way you want it. It is extremely comfortable to type on. It can be easily cleaned It is still working like a new keyboard after nearly FIVE YEARS. Lets face it. I love it because to clean it, you can unscrew the back panel, and the keys fall out in 3 blocks. Not 104 individual keys, but 3 easy-to-scrub blocks. I've cleaned it about once every year so far and I make a note not to spill coffee into it. It's so well built that I could give it a clean, put it back in it's box and pass it off as an unused product.

Weakness

There are two weaknesses: The cursor keys are in a cramped format, in that they look more like cursor keys should do than the 1&3 arrangement like W, A, S and D do. Not that this bothers me, in fact I never use them as I prefer the keypad or the aforementioned WASD layout. Secondly, there are no stupid shortcut keys. This is fine if, like me, you hate unnecessary buttons getting in the way, but if you are attatched to your laz-ee-buttons, then there are none to satisfy you on this keyboard. Another point to note, for those newbies out there is that this is a split keyboard, and not for those afraid of such things.
