So my brother, being the handy individual that he is, purchased a D-Link Antenna (model # ANT24-0700) to boost the signal strength from the router... Strength easy to install, magnetic base, wall-mount kit, cable just under 5-feet long Weakness didn't solve the problem Bottom Line We found another way to boost connectivity from the wireless router to the computer. Buy it. Plug it to PC. And be surprised by improved reception.

Bad (1) Did not improve performance of Access point. Only beneficial when installed to PC side. However,... Strength Sleek design, Versatile placing option. Weakness Does not work well when used for access point. Bottom Line Excels Linksys 7dB antenna HGA7S. This is the best consumer grade high gain wireless network antenna. Very good range!

I took off the stock antenna from my wireless network card on my desktop and plugged this thing in --- instantly benefited from a stronger connection and no more intermittent drops. It works as advertised. Well worth... Strength Very good range. Weakness Would like a longer antenna cable, but it's longer than most external antennas.  |
