Gigafast's WF712-AP is an IEEE802.11b complaint 11Mbps Mini Wireless Access Point. Once installed, the WF712-AP has range up to 300m outdoors and 30m indoors. Operating in the 2.4GHz frequency range using DSSS, the Gigafast Wireless Access Point is able to provide transparent bridging and roaming capabilities to any other wireless connections. The WF712-AP is complete with WEP (Wireless Encoded Privacy) encryption, user authentication, and MAC address control to ensure the security of the wireless network connections. In addition to the security features, the WF712-AP can also forward IP addresses from a DHCP server to wireless clients, creating a fully plug and play wireless environment. Included with the WF712-AP is an advanced access point manager software that can be installed ion Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP.
