Summary

This printer carries a great list of features and specifications and a few (actually very few) improvements on its predecessor -- the wonderful MP600, which was widely acknowledged as one of the best inkjet all-in-one printers on the market. In fact...

Strength

Great quality prints (photo and text), fast printing, great interface, double-sided printing, multiple ink cartridges.

Weakness

Not much. Its a bit large - but most all-in-ones are. No built-in networking.

Bottom Line

This one is a winner. Absolutely remarkable. Great speed and wonderful text and photo output quality. I had problems getting a working model - but suspect I was just unlucky.

Summary

This printer was my first Canon, as I've always had HP. It's so different from the HP. It was a breeze to set up. It's very intuitive. Canon makes so many small things in the setup that make it so much easier to make sure you're doing the right...

Strength

Laser like text. Superb color print scan and copy. Cheap.

Weakness

Expensive ink
No fax
No networking
No blue tooth included

Bottom Line

Laser like text print. High quality color scanning and printing. Very intuitive and extremely fast. But needs a lot of expensive ink and it's impossible to refill.

I purchased this printer for my wife for Christmas '07 because she wanted an easy way to copy, scan, and print. The software is pretty easy to use and she's been able to do amazing things with our family photos, like print on fabric for her projects...

All in one

Weakness

Overly complex cartridge system?
